The Model Context Protocol (MCP) enables AI systems, such as chatbots or autonomous agents, to call external code. With the MCP toolkit for LabVIEW, LabVIEW VIs can be executed autonomously by AI chatbots. This allows for the automated control of test and measurement applications, the adjustment of test parameters based on unstructured data sheets, and much more. In this session, several application scenarios will be demonstrated, and the protocol itself will be explained.
