Advanced Seminar on the Safe Installation, Operation, Maintenance, and Inspection of Large-Scale Photovoltaic Systems.

Large-scale photovoltaic systems place special demands on planning, installation, grid connection, and operation. In addition to structural requirements, fire protection, lightning protection, and applicable electrical standards must be taken into account. The seminar explains the technical and regulatory requirements for large-scale PV systems, with a focus on systems exceeding 135 kWp.

Course Content:

  • The photovoltaic effect, silicon production, PV modules, and inverters
  • Roof structural analysis, load distribution, and wind and snow loads
  • Fire-safe planning and installation; requirements of VdS 6023
  • Lightning and surge protection, cable routing, grounding, and selection of protective devices
  • Electrical installation in accordance with VDE 0100-712
  • Medium-voltage connection in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4110 and System Certificate B
  • Acceptance, testing in accordance with VDE 0126-23-1, commissioning, and documentation; testing procedures for Categories 1 and 2
  • Operation, periodic inspections, maintenance, and servicing

Objective:

In-depth knowledge for the safe installation, operation, and testing of large-scale photovoltaic systems.

Target audience:

Managing directors, heads of government agencies, supervisors, technical managers, licensed electricians, and individuals qualified to perform inspections (electrical engineering).

Certification:

You will receive a certificate of participation with a detailed list of the seminar content covered, serving as proof of specialized expertise.

Prerequisites:

A prerequisite for this seminar is prior completion of a basic measurement seminar on the inspection of stationary electrical installations in accordance with VDE 0100 or equivalent knowledge.

Note:

Due to the breadth of the material, some topics can only be covered briefly in this one-day seminar. The content focuses in particular on photovoltaic systems larger than 135 kWp.
