N9355CK01 | DC-coupled limiter

The N9355CK01 is a diode limiter for protecting sensitive oscilloscope channels from damage caused by electrical overload (EOS) and electrostatic discharge (ESD). Voltages of more than ±2 V can destroy the high-performance samplers used in oscilloscopes. The limiter drastically reduces the probability of such voltages reaching the sensitive part of the device, ensuring that the oscilloscope works reliably for a long time.

For devices with two electrical channels, such as the 54754A, two N9355CK01 are required. The step generators in the TDR modules use ≤ 0.2 V, which is far below the diode threshold of the N9355CK01 limiter. The N9355CK01 can also be used to protect the electrical channel of 86105X and similar modules as long as the signal does not exceed the range -0.5 V to +0.5 V.
