Damping:

  • Relative Damping Step Function - Set the damping relative to any value.
  • Attenuation steps - 0 dB to 101 dB, 101 dB to 0 dB or back and fourth for the preset number of cycles (1 to 1000)
  • User-selectable wobble time - 50 ms to 10 s; 50 ms incrementally

Technical specifications:

The J7201C damping controllers offer an integrated solution for development and manufacturing engineers in the areas of wireless communication, aerospace, defense and electronic components. The J7201C works from DC to 26.5 GHz and offers an attenuation of up to 101 dB with a step size of 1 dB. With a unique damping sweep function, you can select start / stop damping, step size, dwell time and the number of cycles for your application. The J7201C offers exceptional insertion loss repeatability of <0.03 dB, which is typical of the entire 5 million cycles and reduces your operating costs. The Keysight J7201C is designed in a compact half rack with a high form factor of 2 units and ensures user-friendly use in bench-top applications as well as higher efficiency and higher throughput for ATE tests. GPIB, USB and LAN connectivity (LXI Class C compliant) enable easy remote control and triggering.
