Please note: This special item includes the option 8496B-001 Type-N sockets for 8496B.

With the 8496B manual step attenuator, a signal attenuation of 0 to 110 dB can be set manually in 10 dB steps at a bandwidth of 0 Hz to 18 GHz. The attenuator offers very good stability and repeatability within the frequency range up to 18 GHz. This is achieved through gold-plated spring contacts, which also enable a long service life - over 5 million switching cycles - with a repeat accuracy of typically 0.01 dB.

The UK6 option offers greater accuracy and traceability to the NIST standard (SWR (standing wave ratio) and attenuation). Larger attenuation values can be achieved by connecting several attenuators in series. The connection sets 11716A / B / C offer a quick connection to the attenuators 8494/5/6/7 which have an attenuator gradation of 1 dB or 10 dB.
