Description

E8486A | Stock sale - Power sensor for waveguides, 60 to 90 GHz, 60 to 90 GHz (DT2270_2209_L)

The Keysight E8486A waveguide power sensor is compatible with the Keysight EPM (E4418B/19B, N1913A/14A), EPM-P (E4416A/17A) and P-Series (N1911A/12A) power meters and has the best standing wave ratio (SWR) available on the market.

Best standing wave ratio: The most significant source of error in power measurement in the RF or microwave range is the mismatch between the measuring head and the signal source. To eliminate this measurement uncertainty, Keysight offers a standing wave ratio of 1.06 (>30 dB return loss) for its measuring heads.

50 MHz calibration: For easy calibration of the power measuring heads, they have a 50 MHz calibration input. This eliminates the measurement variance when measuring with different sensors and at different temperatures. It also ensures traceability of the power measurement to the NIST standard (U.S. National Institute of Standard and Technology) for the millimeter wavelength range.

High reliability: The waveguide power sensors use the proven MBI diodes (Modified Barrier Integrated Diode), which are also used for all other Keysight sensors. For accurate averaging, these diodes are operated in the characteristic range that follows the square root law.
