Keysight's B2961B / B2962B low-noise power source provides you with a high-precision power supply for measurement applications that require particularly low-noise performance. With its outstanding performance in terms of noise value and resolution, the power supply unit is suitable for very precise and controlled measurements even at low current / voltage levels. Optional ultra-low noise filters reduce the noise figure to an impressive 10 µVrms (at 10 Hz to 20 MHz). The integrated 4.5-digit control display for output current / voltage and the Time Domain Waveform Viewer allow you to conveniently monitor the current parameters that are applied to your DUT. The 4-quadrant operation enables use as a current / voltage source and current sink. The Low Noice Power Supply is available as a 1-channel (B2961B) and 2-channel model (B2962B).

Special features:

  • Outstanding resolution: 100 nV / 10 fA and 6.5 digits for high-precision measurements, e.g. B. for evaluating A / D converters
  • 4-quadrant operation: can be used as a current / voltage source and current sink in a wide, bipolar measuring range up to 210 V and 3 A DC / 10.5 A pulsed
  • Optional ultra-low-noise filters (ULNF) and high-current ULNF reduce the noise figure to an impressive 10 µVrms (10 Hz to 20 MHz, up to 500 mA) for highly sensitive measurement applications, e.g. B. Phase noise of an oscillator circuit (VCO, crystal oscillator)
  • Integrated control of the output parameters: 4.5-digit current / voltage display and graphic representation of the output function in the time domain (Time Domain Waveform Viewer) for output monitoring and troubleshooting without an additional measuring instrument
  • Programmable output resistance for a wide range of analysis options: with the constant and V / I emulation you can simulate the output behavior of passive and active components, e.g. B. solar cells

Predefined and arbitrary functions for flexible test and analysis applications:

The application of the Power Supply B2961B surpasses a conventional, static DC test: In addition to predefined waveforms (sine, square, ramp, triangle, trapezoid, exponential), you can use user-defined arbitrary functions with up to 100,000 points and in a frequency range from 1 mHz to 10 kHz. The same designated device specifications with regard to the wide measuring range (210 V / 3 A) and the high resolution (100 nV / 10 fA) apply to your arbitrary functions as for regular DC applications. This enables precision tests and evaluations, even based on time ranges.
