The Keysight 87406B matrix switch provides the lifespan and reliability required for automated test and measurement, signal monitoring, and routing applications. Innovative design and careful process control create a switch that meets the requirements for highly reproducible switching elements in test devices and switching interfaces. The switch is designed for more than 10 million cycles and meets all electrical specifications for at least 5 million cycles. The switch has exceptional reproducibility of insertion loss. This reduces the sources of random errors in the measurement path and improves the measurement uncertainty. The lifespan of switches is a critical issue in production test systems, satellite and antenna monitoring systems, and test instruments. The longevity of the switch increases system availability and lowers operating costs by reducing calibration cycles and maintenance of the switch.
