FQM-M | Fiber QuickMap multimode distance and fault locator for fiber optics

Fiber QuickMap bridges the gap between a VFL and an OTDR. These models are as easy to use as VFLs while providing the information on distance and performance degradation at high loss points, breaks, and the end of the fiber. They also recognize active fibers.

Product features:

  • Works with multimode fiber, 50/125 µm and 62.5/125 µm
  • 850 nm output wavelength. Measures up to 4,921 feet (1,500 meters) of fiber optic links in seconds.
  • Locates sharp bends, high-loss cable splices, opens, and dirty connectors on multimode fiber links.
  • Measure and locate splices with high loss
  • Locating the end of the fiber
  • locate potential sources of high bit error rates caused by reflections from dirty or bad connections
  • Detects active optical signals before starting the measurement
  • Fast setup. Plug in your fiber and press the test button. No tedious setup needed
  • Find problems quickly. Test time of six seconds - hours of searching for causes of errors are a thing of the past
  • Changing the Index of Refraction (IOR) to improve the accuracy of the fiber length measurement
  • Visible in dark areas. Backlit display turns off automatically.
  • The detachable SC adapter is easy to clean
  • Interchangeable LC, ST and FT adapters are optionally available
  • Long battery life, 1,500 tests (typical) with 2 AA alkaline batteries
  • Robust construction; Vibration and drop test up to 1 m
