  • Automatic switch-off for longer operating times (adjustable up to 30 minutes)
  • Times for staircase and ramp functions variably adjustable in seconds
  • Adjustable measuring span (0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA)
  • Valve test (giving defined mA values, setting with the % buttons)

HART-specific functions:

  • Fast transmission of calibration data. With the 709H/Track software, the parameters of all HART transmitters can be documented during operation, either in .csv or .txt format.
  • Data logging or data recording on a specific transmitter for troubleshooting purposes. Data logging can be set to different logging intervals from 1 to 60 seconds and a log size of 9,800 records or 99 individual sessions. Each recorded data set contains the measured value determined by the 709H, all four process variables and the standard status conditions.

    • In communication mode, the user can read basic information from the instrument, perform diagnostic tests and adjust and calibrate almost all HART-capable transmitters. Previously, this could only be done with a special communicator, an expensive multifunction calibrator or a computer with a HART modem. With the Fluke 709H, almost any technician can maintain and calibrate HART instruments.
