Seminar ITC Thermography | "ISO 9712 & Test TT Level 1" Thermography with ITC in Frankfurt, 14.-19.09.2026 (ITC_9712_F_260914)

This course offers the opportunity to become certified in the process of infrared thermography in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 9712 standard (qualification and certification of non-destructive testing personnel). An independent accredited certification company confirms your qualification and experience. With this certification, you can prove your qualification both within your company and to the outside world and identify yourself as a professional thermographer.

The content of the course meets all the requirements of VDS Guideline 2859 and BAFA on-site consulting. The level 1 examination is multi-sectoral in the areas of construction, electrical and industry. The areas of application are separated from level 2 onwards.

  • Radiation laws: Planck, Wien, Stefan-Boltzmann, atmospheric windows, SW-LW camera technology

  • Emittance: definition, properties
  • Spectral filters
  • Therm. / Geometric resolution, IFOV, SRF
  • IR software
  • Basics of heat and temperature, thermodynamics
  • Basics of temperature measurement
  • Basic principles, measurement errors
  • Basics of heat transfer
  • Heat conduction, convection, radiation
  • Applications: Electrical, construction / leakage, industry

Course requirements:

  • Skilled worker training or comparable
  • 7 days practical thermography experience or participation in the thermography user seminar
  • Vision test (near and color vision), not older than 1 year

Examination requirements:

  • Vision test (near and color vision), not older than 1 year
  • Proof of pract. Experience (at least 7 days before the exam, e.g. thermography user seminar and TT1 course), 3 months until delivery of the certificate

Duration: 5 days + 1 day exam
