The comemso Portable BMS Tester is the compact and powerful solution for the development and validation of battery management systems (BMS) with up to 36 cells. As a tabletop device and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tester, the portable test system is ideal for development environments, laboratories, start-ups or university research facilities where maximum functionality is required with minimum space requirements.
Despite its compact size, the portable BMS tester is based on the high-quality components of comemso's larger mid-size and full-size systems. This means you also benefit from the usual precision, flexibility and reliability of comemso technology in mobile use.
With its test range of 12 to 36 cells, the system covers a wide range of modern applications, including:
- Power tools (e.g. drills, cordless screwdrivers)
- E-bikes and pedelecs
- E-scooters and light vehicles
- Mobile energy storage solutions and power banks
- Professional drones (UAVs)
In these areas
- the BMS takes on essential tasks; The BMS performs essential tasks such as cell monitoring, balancing, temperature management, protective functions and communication with chargers or controllers. The portable BMS tester simulates these conditions precisely and thus enables the targeted development, safeguarding and optimization of your BMS functions - even under critical conditions.
In contrast to the larger cabinet systems (midi and full-size formats), the portable BMS tester is mobile and is particularly suitable for smaller cell numbers and space-limited test environments. The range of functions and quality are in no way inferior to the larger models – all central features such as cell simulation, error emulation and balancing support are fully integrated.
For more extensive BMS applications from 36 cells to over 300 cells, comemso offers scalable cabinet systems that can be individually adapted to customer-specific requirements.
Technical features of the comemso BMS testers:
- Simulation of individual battery cells with high voltage resolution
- Individual fault simulations: e.g. short-circuit, polarization and fault simulation. Short circuit, polarity reversal, disconnection, cable break
- Balancing current measurement (bidirectional) and Coulomb counting
- Precise leakage current measurement in the microampere range
- Cell model with real-time SoC calculation
- "Voltage Oscillation" for simulating EMC influences and surges
- ;and voltage disturbances
- Temperature simulation via NTC/PTC emulation
- Insulation resistance simulation for BMS insulation monitoring
- Battery current sensor or shunt emulation
- Compatible with standard software or customizable to your individual environment
