The BENNING SUN 3 is a professional irradiation and temperature measuring device for the precise evaluation of photovoltaic systems. Thanks to modern LoRa (Long Range) radio technology, it enables wireless data transmission with ranges of up to 150 m outdoors. In combination with the BENNING PV 125, irradiation and temperature values are integrated directly into the testing process.
The solar irradiation (W/m²) is measured via an integrated PV reference cell. The device also records the PV module temperature and the ambient temperature. An integrated digital compass and tilt angle meter support the optimal alignment and analysis of PV modules.
For complete documentation, the BENNING SUN 3 has an integrated data logger with 5,000 data records, real-time clock and date and time stamp. The stored data can be conveniently read out via the USB interface. A PV module holder and a suction cup temperature sensor are optionally available.
