The BENNING MA EV 1 is a professional measuring adapter for standard-compliant testing of EV charging cables (Mode 2 & Mode 3) and wallboxes. In combination with suitable appliance testers or installation testers, it enables comprehensive function, safety and fault simulation tests in accordance with relevant DIN and VDE standards.

General features:

The MA EV 1 is a reliable testing solution for electricians, service companies and installers who need to test charging cables and charging infrastructure for safety and functionality. Thanks to the integrated vehicle and cable simulation (CP/PP status), charging states can be realistically simulated. Fault simulations such as CP short circuit or PE interruption support diagnostics and quality assurance.

With its robust, IP67-protected case, the measuring adapter also enables mobile use in harsh conditions. The USB interface allows both data exchange with appliance testers and firmware updates. LED status indicators for the mains and vehicle side make measurement statuses clearly visible at all times.

Possible applications:

Testing EV charging cables mode 3 - including RPE/RISO measurement, current carrying capacity test and function test.
Testing of EV emergency charging cables (Mode 2) - incl. tripping time/current of the protective devices, fault simulations and CP/PP signal measurement.
Testing of wallboxes - in combination with installation testers in accordance with DIN VDE 0100-600 / IEC 60364-6.
Service & maintenance - diagnosis of defective cables, charging points and installations through defined fault conditions.
