The PXI ‑ 6515 is an industrial ‑ compatible digital I / O interface with eight banks of isolated channels. Each input bank can be configured to supply as well as draw current. With the help of programmable switch-on states, users can configure digital I / O states on the software side in such a way that safe operation is guaranteed when industrial actuators are connected. In the event of a computer or application error, digital I / O watchdogs on the PXI ‑ 6515 ensure that the PXI ‑ 6515 goes into a configurable, secure output state in order to detect malfunctions and enable the system to be restored safely. Programmable input filters are used to remove interference pulses and signal peaks as well as to debounce digital switches and relays using digital filters that can be set on the software side.
