The Keysight LCR-Meter E4982A offers the very best properties to measure passive components in development, production and quality control. For example, SMD components, inductors, and EMI filters must be measured at high frequencies (1 MHz to 300 MHz, 500 MHz, 1 GHz or 3 GHz).
The Keysight E4982A is an LCR measuring device with which you can quickly obtain the electrical impedance values of a passive component and is therefore particularly useful in production and quality control. There is an interface to the corresponding component handlers so that the device can be connected directly to the handler. It is essential for this type of application that a resistance measurement in the DC voltage range is carried out before the actual measurement to ensure that there is a good and secure connection between the E4982A and the component. This means that components that are actually not defective are declared as defective and that the measurement is also of good quality and that no measurement errors creep in due to a bad connection.
Various frequency options offer simpler measurements in lower frequency ranges, especially for passive components such as RF coils, ferrite cores and EMI filters, which are increasingly used in mobile devices. Optionally, the device can be ordered for a frequency range from 1 MHz to 300 MHz, up to 500 MHz, up to 1 GHz or up to 3 GHz. A subsequent upgrade to a higher frequency range is guaranteed.
