This adapter is used to connect the 5 connections of a digital multimeter with wires without thermal voltage. It is important that the connections are safe, repeatable and without the influence of the thermally induced voltage. Thermal stresses arise when metals of different alloys or tinned wires are inserted into the sockets of the digital multimeter that have different alloy components or alloy concentrations.
