The Chroma 17040 Regenerative Battery Pack Test System is a high precision system specifically designed to test secondary battery modules and packs. It has an energy regeneration function to significantly reduce power consumption during discharging, thus ensuring a stable power grid without generating harmonics on other devices - even during dynamic charging and discharging. It can feed the electrical energy discharged from the battery module back into the power grid, which means that energy that conventional devices release in the form of heat is wasted to a lesser extent, thus reducing air-conditioning requirements.
Parallel channels and dynamic profile simulation functions are integrated in the Chroma 17040 system. The parallel potential increases the current and power during charging and discharging to their maximum values, which improves the efficiency and flexible use of devices. Using dynamic profile simulation, users can load a battery waveform of a specified profile in current or power mode to meet NEDC/FUDS requirements. Its bi-directional architecture ensures that the current is not interrupted during charge and discharge transients, enabling precise simulation of driving conditions in accordance with international test standards ISO, IEC, UL and GB/T.
Equipped with Chroma's powerful "Battery Pro" software, the 17040 system has flexible test editing functions to perform independent channel testing, and meets the diversified needs of secondary battery pack testing in a very safe and stable manner. It also supports power failure recovery features that ensure test data remains intact.
