The PicoScope 5000E series comprises high-resolution PC-based oscilloscopes designed for precise measurements and fast signal analysis. The instruments combine 16-bit resolution with high sampling rates, large memory, and extensive analysis functions. Thanks to their low inherent noise and high dynamic range, these oscilloscopes are particularly well-suited for demanding analog and digital measurement tasks.
Typical applications include development, embedded systems, automotive electronics, power electronics, sensor technology, as well as research and education. The series offers extensive trigger functions, FFT spectrum analysis, serial protocol decoding, DeepMeasure analysis, and integrated function and arbitrary waveform generators. The Plus models in the series complement the high 16-bit precision with an 8-bit high-speed mode featuring higher bandwidth and double the memory.
Differences from the other variants
The PicoScope 5462E+ expands the classic 5000E series with an additional 8-bit mode featuring higher bandwidth and double the memory. In 16-bit mode, the device offers a bandwidth of 60 MHz for precise measurements, while in 8-bit mode, bandwidths up to 200 MHz and sampling rates up to 5 GS/s are available.
Compared to the 5462E, the 5462E+ features an additional high-speed mode with enhanced performance specifications. However, compared to the 5463E+ and 5464E+, this model has a lower maximum bandwidth in 16-bit and 8-bit modes. The device is designed for users who want to perform both high-resolution precision measurements and fast signal analysis with a single oscilloscope.
