The PicoScope 5000E series offers high-resolution PC-based oscilloscopes for precise measurements and sophisticated signal analysis. The instruments combine 16-bit resolution with a high sampling rate of up to 2.5 GS/s, low inherent noise, and a dynamic range of over 73 dB. This makes them particularly suitable for applications requiring both high accuracy and fast signal processing.
The series features extensive trigger functions, FFT spectrum analysis, serial protocol decoding, DeepMeasure analysis, Math channels, and integrated function and arbitrary waveform generators. The MSO models expand the analog channels by an additional 16 digital inputs and enable the simultaneous analysis of analog and digital signals in embedded, automotive, and industrial applications.
Differences from the other variants
The PicoScope 5464E MSO is the most powerful mixed-signal model in the classic PicoScope 5000E series. It combines four analog channels with 16 digital inputs and offers a bandwidth of 200 MHz at full 16-bit resolution. This makes the instrument ideal for demanding mixed-signal analysis, high-speed embedded systems, and high-precision laboratory and development applications.
Compared to the 5462E MSO and 5463E MSO, the 5464E MSO offers the highest bandwidth and fastest rise time within the standard 5000E series. Unlike the 5000E+ MSO variants, the device operates exclusively in 16-bit mode and does not feature an additional 8-bit high-speed mode with extended bandwidths up to 500 MHz.
