The Cinergia B2C+ ePlus series combines state-of-the-art power electronics with bidirectional, fully regenerative DC technology. It enables energy to flow in both directions - as a precisely controllable source or as an active electronic load - and efficiently feeds excess energy back into the grid. With a power factor > 0.98 and THDi < 3 %, it guarantees the highest grid quality and energy efficiency.
Typical fields of application include battery and PV emulation, energy storage tests, charging infrastructure tests, DC/DC and DC/AC converter development, traction systems, smart grid simulations, avionics and power hardware-in-the-loop (P-HiL). The modular series covers outputs from 7.5 kW to 200 kW and offers a standard voltage range of 20 – 800 V DC. Extensions up to 1,500 V DC or over 1 MW total output are possible via master/slave coupling.
The B2C+80 is a powerful model in the upper mid-range of the B2C+ ePlus series. It is designed for demanding industrial applications where high currents, precise control and stable power supply are crucial. With 80 kW of power, it offers an excellent balance between performance, energy efficiency and compact design - ideal for battery and energy storage tests, traction systems or DC converter testing.
The B2C+80 is positioned between the B2C+60 (±225 A) and the B2C+100 (±390 A) and therefore offers an ideal solution for high-current applications in the medium power range. With ±320 A in 1-channel mode, it provides sufficient current reserves for large battery modules, traction systems or grid simulations with dynamic load profiles.
Compared to smaller models, the B2C+80 is characterized by significantly higher current capability and thermal stability, while retaining the same software and control architecture. Compared to high-power variants (= 120 kW), it offers outstanding efficiency (= 92 %) with a compact design and lower installation requirements. It can also be combined into more powerful interconnected systems via master/slave operation.
