The Cinergia B2C+ ePlus series offers a highly flexible, bidirectional and fully regenerative DC test platform for laboratory, development and production applications. The devices can be operated as a source or sink and allow energy to flow in both directions. By feeding energy back into the grid, energy efficiency is maximized and overall consumption is reduced. A power factor > 0.98 and THDi < 3 % ensure the highest grid quality.

Applications include battery testing, battery and PV emulation, energy storage characterization, DC/DC and DC/AC converter testing, electromobility, charging infrastructure, smart grid simulations, avionics and power hardware-in-the-loop (P-HiL). With outputs from 7.5 kW to 200 kW and a standard voltage range of 20 – 800 V DC, the series is scalable and can be expanded up to 1,500 V or 1 MW via master/slave operation.

The B2C+40 marks the entry into the high-performance range of the B2C+ ePlus series. It combines high power capability, precise control and first-class energy efficiency with a compact design. This makes it ideal for demanding development tests and system tests in electromobility, energy and storage technology or power electronics.

Technical classification compared to other models

The B2C+40 is the first model in the series with an industrial-grade high-performance class and significantly extends the current range to ±160 A compared to the B2C+30 (±135 A). It therefore offers the ideal combination of power and dynamics for medium-sized battery or inverter tests.

Compared to the larger models such as the B2C+60 (±225 A) or B2C+100 (±390 A), the B2C+40 remains more compact and energy-efficient (= 92 %). It is suitable for continuous testing, where stability, accuracy and power supply capability are crucial, and can be integrated into larger test systems via master/slave architecture.
