The Cinergia B2C+ ePlus series has been specially developed for demanding development, validation and end-of-line test environments. It combines bidirectional power conversion with full power supply and highest control performance. As a source or load, the series operates with minimal energy loss, efficiently feeds excess energy back into the grid and ensures the highest grid quality (THDi < 3 %, power factor > 0.98).
Typical fields of application include battery and PV emulation, battery testing, energy storage systems, DC/DC and DC/AC converter tests, charging infrastructure, traction systems, smart grid validation, avionics and power hardware-in-the-loop (P-HiL). The series covers outputs from 7.5 kW to 160 kW, with a standard voltage range of 20 – 800 V DC and expandable architecture up to 1,500 V or over 1 MW system output in a master/slave network.
The B2C+160 is the most powerful model in the B2C+ ePlus series. It was developed for high-performance applications where maximum current density, the highest precision and outstanding energy efficiency are required. With up to ±640 A in 1-channel operation, it is the first choice for large-scale battery testing, traction and energy storage applications or demanding DC system tests with high dynamics.
The B2C+160 marks the top of the B2C+ ePlus series and offers the highest available performance and current capability. While models such as the B2C+100 (±390 A) or B2C+120 (±480 A) are already designed for high-performance testing, the B2C+160 sets new standards with ±640 A in 1-channel mode. It is suitable for applications that require the highest current reserves, fast control times and maximum energy efficiency.
Compared to smaller models, the B2C+160 not only offers the largest current capacity, but also optimized thermal stability and the highest continuous load capability. Thanks to its identical software architecture, it can be integrated into complex test systems or combined with other devices via master/slave systems to cover test scenarios up to well over 1 MW of power. This makes it the optimal choice for research and industrial areas with the highest performance requirements.
