With the Rohde & Schwarz FSH-K50 / -K51 1) option, the Rohde & Schwarz FSH is equipped for transmitter measurements on LTE FDD and LTE TDD eNodeB. All signal bandwidths up to 20 MHz specified in the LTE standard can be analyzed.
Both options support all important LTE measurements from SISO transmissions (single input single output) to 4 × 4 MIMO transmissions (multiple input multiple output). In addition to the total power, the power of the reference signal as well as the power of the Physical Control Format Indicator Channel (PCFICH), the Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) and the two synchronization channels PSYNC and SSYNC are measured. The frequency offset of the carrier frequency and the EVM value of the reference signal and the useful data are also determined and displayed.
In this way, transmitter disturbance variables such as limits (clipping) or intermodulations can be recognized, which are difficult to detect in the spectrum. The Rohde & Schwarz FSH also supports LTE-Advanced Carrier Aggregation. The measurement results of up to three carriers can be displayed simultaneously. A simple pass / fail display makes troubleshooting in the antenna and cable installation easier. With the Rohde & Schwarz FSH-K50 / -K51 option and the isotropic antennas of the Rohde & Schwarz TS-EMF measuring system, the electrical field strength of the LTE signal can also be measured.
