The Rohde & Schwarz FSH-K45 vector voltmeter option shows the magnitude and phase of a measurement object on a fixed frequency. The Rohde & Schwarz FSH (models .23 / .24 / .28 / .30) can thus replace a traditional vector voltmeter for many applications. The necessary signal source and measuring bridge are already included in the Rohde & Schwarz FSH.
In addition to saving costs, the measurement setup is considerably simplified and is therefore ideally suited for field use. For relative measurements, the measurement values of a reference measurement object are saved at the push of a button. Comparative measurements, for example between different RF cables and a reference cable (golden device), are therefore possible without great effort. Typical applications include comparing the electrical cable length or checking phase-controlled antennas, such as those used in air traffic control with the Instrument Landing System (ILS).
