Keysight E4980A | Precision LCR component testers with test frequencies from 20 Hz to 2 MHz.

  • Accuracy in impedance measurements due to extremely low noise in both the high and low impedance range
  • 0.05% base accuracy for impedance measurements
  • DC bias 1 m / 2 m / 4 m measuring cable lengths
  • Idle, short circuit and load correction
  • DC voltage source with extremely low noise from 0 to ± 10 V
  • USB interface built-in on the front panel (with option 001) for storing measurement results, settings, measurement sequences and display representations
  • AC characterization of the DUT (device under test) from 100 µVrms to 2 Vrms (optionally 20 Vrms) and a measuring current from 1 µA to 20 mA
  • Standard DC power source of 1.5 V and 2 V (optionally from 0 to ± 40 V including automatic polarity control) for the wafer supply and for measuring material properties
  • Over 30 different measuring adapters with the most diverse test specimen recordings - even for liquid materials
  • Frequency range: 20 Hz to 2 MHz with a 4-digit resolution in each frequency range
  • Basic accuracy: 0.05% with exceptionally good repeatability for high and low impedance measurements with DC power supply for the DUT (test object)
  • 16 impedance parameters can be measured.
  • Measuring options: Z, Y, θ, R, X, G, B, L, C, D, Q, ESR, Rdc, (with option 001: Vdc, Idc), deviation,% of deviation
  • Test signal frequencies 0 to 2 Vrms / 0 to 20 mArms (0 to 20 Vrms / 0 to 100 mArms with option 001)
  • Built-in 40 V DC voltage source, 20 Vrms test signal and resistance measurements with DC voltage levels (these options only in connection with option 001)
  • Shortest measuring time 5.6 ms
  • Measuring times can be set in: short 5.6 ms - medium 88 ms - long 220 ms

The standard for impedance measurement of materials and electronic components in the low-frequency range - precise, fast and adaptable to all measurement requirements thanks to 30 different measurement adapters and recordings.

The LCR-Meter E4980A offers the best symbiosis between accuracy and measuring speed to determine the relative permeability and the relative dielectric constant of materials of all kinds or to measure the essential electrical parameters such as resistance, capacitance and inductance - and that with the highest precision in both the high and low impedance range. Appropriate measurement recordings, built-in power supplies, which supply the test specimen with voltage and current, and built-in multimeter functions make work easier and reduce the measurement effort.
