The AP5041A vector signal generator from Keysight is a powerful basic device for generating high-precision RF and microwave signals. With a frequency range from 100 kHz to 40 GHz (depending on options), the device is suitable for demanding applications in research, development, production and education. The AP5041A model is a 1-channel vector signal generator, which is designed as a basic device. It can be expanded with various bandwidth and function options, allowing it to be flexibly adapted to specific requirements.

The main difference between the AP5042A and the AP5041A is its multi-channel capability. While the AP5041A only offers one channel, the AP5042A can be equipped with up to four independent, phase-coherent channels. For applications requiring multi-channel scenarios or MIMO testing, the AP5042A is therefore the better choice. The AP5041A, on the other hand, is ideal when a compact and lightweight single-channel generator with optional extensions is required.
