The A1110-05-QE from Hubert is a linear, extremely wideband precision power amplifier designed for applications that require rapidly changing signals with high power and high accuracy. The device can be operated as both a voltage amplifier and a current amplifier. In current-controlled mode, it functions as a voltage-controlled current source and provides a constant output current that is virtually independent of frequency, particularly with inductive loads. An automatically or manually switchable bipolar power supply with multiple supply voltages enables efficient adaptation to high-voltage/low-current as well as low-voltage/high-current applications.
Thanks to its high sink capacity, the A1110-05-QE can also be used as an active load. The output voltage and output current can be limited and monitored via separate monitor outputs. A temperature-controlled fan, along with over-temperature shutdown, power dissipation calculation, and absolute current monitoring, ensure effective short-circuit and overload protection. An interlock function is also available for integration into safety systems. Operation is possible either via the controls on the front panel or via the included PC software via USB.
Typical applications include laboratory use in research, development, and testing, EMC testing, material and component testing, as well as applications in medical technology. In addition, the amplifier is suitable for moving-coil drives, piezo actuators, the generation of magnetic fields—for example, using Helmholtz coils—as well as for applications in MRI, laser, and plasma technology.
