The A1110-05-E from HUBERT is a linear, extremely wideband precision power amplifier designed for applications requiring rapidly changing signals with high performance. The device can be operated as both a voltage amplifier and a current amplifier. In current amplifier mode, it functions as a voltage-controlled current source and provides a constant output current that is virtually independent of frequency, particularly with inductive loads.
Three selectable operating voltages are available for optimal adaptation to different loads. This allows the amplifier to be configured, depending on the application, for high output voltages at lower currents or for high output currents at low voltages. For very low-impedance loads, the operating voltage can be reduced, thereby simultaneously lowering power dissipation. The output voltage and output current can be limited and monitored via separate monitor outputs. Comprehensive protection functions—such as temperature monitoring, power dissipation calculation, absolute current monitoring, and interlock—protect the amplifier from overload and short circuits. Operation is performed directly via the front panel or via USB using the included control software.
Thanks to its combination of high bandwidth, 4-quadrant operation, and high output power, the A1110-05-E is suitable for numerous applications in research, development, and test engineering. Typical applications include EMC and materials testing, component testing, MRI applications, moving-coil drives, and piezo actuators, as well as the generation of magnetic fields, for example using Helmholtz coils. In addition, the amplifier can be used in medical technology, laser technology, and plasma technology.
