The MAVOSPEC BASE is a compact, high-quality spectrometer designed for a comprehensive assessment of light quality. It not only measures classic photometric parameters such as illuminance, but also analyzes the spectrum, the most similar color temperature, color coordinates, color rendering indices, flicker, and other relevant parameters. The measurement results are clearly displayed on a color screen and can be saved to an integrated micro-SD card for documentation. The intuitive one-handed operation via a ring controller and a few buttons allows for convenient use by both experts and users who want to assess light quality quickly and easily.

The MAVOSPEC BASE is suitable for numerous applications in lighting design, quality assurance, and research. Typical areas of application include the development and manufacture of luminaires, interior design and lighting design, medical technology, electrical installations, as well as wholesale and retail. In addition, the device can be used to evaluate retail and workplace lighting, public lighting systems, museum and exhibition lighting, studio, stage, and film lighting, as well as to check and calibrate monitors, projectors, and large screens. Applications in the fields of Human Centric Lighting and plant lighting are also supported.

For comparison and quality assurance tasks, the device features a reference mode that allows measurements from different light sources to be compared directly with one another and deviations to be displayed. Measurement data can be saved manually or automatically in CSV format and then evaluated, logged, or recorded over extended periods using the included Excel templates. Integration into customer-specific systems and applications is also possible via USB and an open interface protocol.
