The ENERGYMID EM2289 from Gossen Metrawatt/Camille Bauer is a multifunctional electrical energy meter. The MID-compliant ENERGYMID family supports energy distribution, submetering, building services and industrial use where energy import and export must be documented.

Article U2289-V027 is intended for a 4-wire system with direct connection. Its current rating is 5(80) A. These characteristics determine how the meter is connected to the electrical installation and whether a direct or transformer connection is required.

The ENERGYMID series provides four-quadrant measurement in addition to active energy metering. This enables the documentation of both consumption and energy fed into the network. Such information is useful for distributed generation, separated consumption areas and advanced energy management schemes.

Meter readings are available on the instrument. The family is designed for measurement and billing applications under the European Measuring Instruments Directive 2014/32/EU (MID). The relevant regulatory requirements and documentation must be considered for any billing application.

This version is equipped with TCP/IP. It therefore differs from otherwise similar ENERGYMID models with pulse outputs, M-Bus, Modbus, Ethernet or wireless transmission. Data processing depends on the connected metering and energy management equipment.

The compact DIN-rail housing allows installation in distribution cabinets. The meter can be used as a stand-alone measurement point or integrated into a supervisory monitoring solution via the communication method supplied with this model.
