The Cinergia B2C+ ePlus series is a state-of-the-art, bidirectional DC test platform that acts as both a programmable source and an active sink. Its regenerative architecture efficiently feeds energy back into the grid, significantly reducing operating costs and heat generation. With a power factor > 0.98 and a THDi < 3 %, it meets the highest requirements for grid quality and energy efficiency.
Typical applications include battery and PV emulation, charging and discharging tests, energy storage systems, DC/DC and DC/AC converter tests, electromobility, avionics, smart grid validation and power hardware-in-the-loop (P-HiL). The series covers a wide power range from 7.5 kW to 160 kW at voltages of 20 – 800 V DC and can be extended to up to 1,500 V or over 1 MW system power in master/slave mode.
The B2C+15 is the versatile 15 kW model in the series and is particularly suitable for development and test environments where flexible power profiles, high precision and a compact design are required. It combines robust power supply capability with excellent control performance and offers an outstanding price-performance ratio for laboratory applications.
The B2C+15 is in the lower mid-range of the series and offers a current capability of ±67.5 A in 1-channel mode – significantly more than the more compact B2C+10 (±45 A) and almost twice that of the entry-level model B2C+7.5 (±30 A). This makes it ideal for tests with medium-sized battery stacks, DC/DC converters or smaller traction applications where precise current control and energy efficiency are crucial.
Compared to the larger models (e.g. B2C+20 or B2C+30), the B2C+15 offers an ideal balance between power reserve, price and compactness. Thanks to the identical control architecture and software environment, it can be seamlessly combined with more powerful devices or used as a stand-alone device in laboratories that require high flexibility and accuracy.
