The XJTAG XJA-0006 is an angled splitter and signal integrity board for use with an XJLink2 or XJLink-FE18. It enables the test system to be connected to the unit under test (UUT) and supports reliable signal transmission via ribbon cables.
The 20-pin connector with a 0.1-inch pitch connects directly to the XJLink2 or XJLink-FE18. On the UUT side, the board provides two angled, 20-pin, 0.1-inch connectors to which the corresponding connection cables can be attached.
To optimize signal integrity, the XJA-0006 connects the even-numbered pins to ground on the UUT side. This allows a ground connection to be established between the individual signal lines within the ribbon cable. This reduces unwanted signal interference and supports more stable communication during the test process.
Pins 19 are not connected by default. If necessary, they can be connected to ground using a 0-ohm jumper.
Applications
The XJA-0006 is suitable for boundary-scan and JTAG test setups in which an XJLink system is to be connected to a circuit board or another device under test via a ribbon cable. The angled design makes it particularly easy to integrate into test adapters and applications with limited installation space.
