Technical Data

Description

SPS-0061 | XJLink2-3030, JTAG Controller for Teradyne ICT Systems

The SPS-0061 from XJTAG is an XJLink2 carrier board designed to integrate XJTAG boundary-scan testing into an SPEA 3030 needle-bed test system. The carrier board accommodates up to two independent XJLink2-3030 JTAG controller modules. This allows two separate units under test (UUTs) to be tested. Operation is possible with either one or two modules installed.

The carrier board is installed directly into the backplane of the SPEA-3030 test system and powered via an external 24-V DC power supply and a USB connection. An integrated USB hub establishes the data connection to the XJLink2-3030 modules in use. The connection between the modules and the units under test is established via relays. During conventional in-circuit testing, the units under test remain completely isolated from the XJTAG system. Only for boundary-scan or combined boundary-scan/ICT tests are the signal and ground connections selectively activated.

Typical applications include automated production testing of electronic assemblies, boundary-scan tests, combined ICT and JTAG test sequences, and fault diagnosis in SPEA 3030 test systems. The integrated loopback function also enables a self-test of the installed XJLink2-3030 modules. Tests can be executed via XJDeveloper, XJRunner, SPEA Leonardo, the XJLink Manager, or programmatically via the XJIntegration DLL.
