The XJTAG CAB-0033 is a 200 mm-long breakout cable designed to flexibly connect JTAG controllers to boards and test objects whose pin assignments differ from the standard interface. It is particularly suitable for use with XJExpress as well as with JTAG controllers that feature a SignalIntegrity9 or SignalIntegrity10 interface.
One end of the cable features a 20-pin, dual-row IDC connector with a pitch of 2.54 mm (0.1 inches). The other end is split into individual, single-pole Dupont connectors. This allows the signals to be connected individually and in accordance with the specific pinout of the device under test.
The cable consists of color-coded 24-AWG wires in accordance with UL1007, which are twisted in pairs. Each twisted pair includes a signal wire and a corresponding return wire. The black wires are connected to the even-numbered pins of the 20-pin connector, while the colored wires are assigned to the odd-numbered pins. This clear labeling simplifies wiring and reduces the risk of connection errors.
Typical Applications: The CAB-0033 is ideal for development, test, and diagnostic applications where a JTAG interface must be flexibly adapted to a different pinout. The individually spaced Dupont sockets allow for quick adaptation to prototypes, test adapters, and different UUT pinouts without the need to fabricate a special adapter cable.
