The FLIR Si2a-PD (T912645) is an industrial, stationary acoustic imaging camera designed for continuous monitoring of electrical systems. It detects and locates partial discharges, corona discharges, arcs, and other electrical anomalies at an early stage, thereby supporting condition-based maintenance. Continuous 24/7 monitoring helps prevent unplanned equipment downtime, enables targeted planning of maintenance activities, and sustainably improves operational safety.
With its 124 low-noise MEMS microphones and an integrated 12-megapixel color camera, the Si2a-PD combines acoustic measurements with visual representation. The camera automatically detects and classifies different types of partial discharges. An AI-powered analysis assesses the severity of the detected anomalies and provides specific recommendations for action, enabling inspections to be carried out more efficiently and reliably.
The stationary camera is particularly well-suited for monitoring transmission and distribution grids, substations, and medium- and high-voltage switchgear in industrial applications. It is also designed for condition monitoring of gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) to detect insulation damage, moisture ingress, or contamination at an early stage. Unlike the T912643 variant, the T912645 model does not have Wi-Fi functionality and is integrated into existing monitoring and asset management systems exclusively via wired network interfaces.
