The thermal imaging cameras of the FLIR A500 Standard Science Kit offer the highest precision and outstanding image quality. This kit has been specifically designed for research and development applications to provide engineers and scientists with accurate and reproducible thermal imaging data. With simplified connectivity, fast commissioning and flexible software integration, the A500 Science Kit is ideal for temperature analysis in fields such as electronics, materials research, life sciences and aerospace engineering.
The FLIR A500 is an intelligent thermal imaging camera with a resolution of 464 × 348 pixels and a thermal sensitivity of < 30 mK to < 50 mK – depending on the lens. Thanks to the uncooled microbolometer detector with a pixel pitch of 17 μm, it delivers precise temperature measurements in the spectral range from 7.5 to 14 μm. The supplied 24°-lens with motorized and manual focus control ensures razor-sharp images and a wide field of view. Thanks to the integrated FLIR macro mode, even small components can be examined in high resolution without changing the lens.
The FLIR Research Studio software enables an intuitive workflow: connect, display, record and analyze - without any complicated setup. Radiometric data is transmitted reliably via Gigabit Ethernet (RTSP, GigE Vision). Thanks to Power over Ethernet (PoE), there is no need for additional cables, making use in the laboratory particularly convenient.
The A500 Standard Science Kit offers a high degree of flexibility in data acquisition and analysis. With automatic lens recognition, digital inputs and outputs and a robust design (IP54, vibration and shock resistant), it is suitable for a wide range of research environments.
