Description

TAP1500L | Probe, active 10X, 1.5 GHz, 7 m, TekVPI

The Tektronix TAP1500L is an active FET probe specifically designed for high-speed signal acquisition and direct connection to oscilloscopes via the TekVPI interface. This probe offers outstanding electrical and mechanical characteristics required for modern digital system designs.

Technical features:

  • Bandwidth: ≥ 1.5 GHz, which enables reliable signal acquisition at high frequencies.Rise time: < 267 ps, ideal for fast transient measurements.
  • Input capacitance: ≤ 1 pF, which minimizes stress on the circuit under test.
  • Input resistance: 1 MΩ, provides sufficient protection and minimizes signal distortion.
  • Input voltage range: -8 V to +8 V, supports voltages with a swing range of up to 16 V.
  • Input offset range: ± 10 V to compensate for DC voltages.
  • Maximum non-destructive input voltage: ± 15 V (DC + peak AC).

Other product features:

  • Compact probe: For testing small circuits such as those found in modern SMD designs.
  • Mechanical versatility: Can be connected to SMDs with a pitch of only 0.5 mm.
  • Easy operation: Automatic scaling and display of units directly on the oscilloscope, including menu access for status and diagnostic data of the probe.
  • Rugged construction: Durability and reliability are guaranteed.

The TAP1500L requires a Tektronix recommended DSP filter compatible with the 4, 5 and 6 series oscilloscopes to achieve the full bandwidth of ≥ 1.5 GHz. The probe comes with a 7 meter cable to reach even hard-to-reach test points. It is particularly suitable for high-speed digital designs, component design and characterization, research and teaching, voltage signals with up to 16 V oscillation width.
