The 5B Series MSO with FlexChannel technology optimizes system visibility for complex signals in verification and debugging processes. Each FlexChannel input provides either one analog signal input or eight digital logic inputs (with optional logic probe). The associated flexibility opens up a wide range of configuration options for you. The MSO58B oscilloscope has eight analog and up to 64 digital channels and is used for applications such as B. embedded systems, three-phase electronics, vehicle electronics or DC converters in question.
The digital channels have the same high real-time sampling rate of up to 6.25 GSa/s for fine timing resolutions and the same long record length (up to 125 million points) for long-term acquisitions as the analog channels. The particularly large 15.6-inch color display with touch function via multi-finger gestures and full HD resolution allows you to clearly display multiple signals and analyses.
Digital voltmeter, arbitrary function generator and power analysis:
The MSO58B oscilloscope contains an integrated 4-digit digital voltmeter (DVM) and an 8-digit trigger frequency counter for the precise display of the frequency of the trigger event being executed. Any of the analog inputs can serve as a source for the voltmeter. The same probes are used for this as for the oscilloscope use. The 5B Series MSO also features an optional onboard Arbitrary Function Generator (AFG) that is ideal for simulating sensor signals or generating noise signals when performing limit testing. The waveform generator allows output of predefined waveforms up to 100MHz and offers 128,000-point recording for loading waveforms from an internally stored file or USB storage device. The optional power analysis package enables fast and reproducible analyzes of, among other things, power quality, harmonics, switching loss, modulation, ripple, as well as efficiency, amplitude or time measurements.
Triggering and analysis of serial protocols:
The 5B Series MSO optionally offers an extensive set of reliable tools for the most common serial buses such as I2C, SPI, RS-232/422/485/UART, CAN, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, SENT, USB LS/FS/ HS, Ethernet 10/100 and MIL-STD-1553. Parallel buses are also supported by the MSO58B (by default). With serial protocol triggering you can trigger on specific packet contents, e.g. B. Start of packet, specific address, unique identifiers or errors. The bus signal is time-correlated to all other displayed signals, making it easy to see the timing relationships between different parts of the system under test. Decode Tables provide a tabular view of all decoded packets from a capture.
