NI PXIe-6357 | 208 AI (16-bit, 1.25 MS/s), 2 AO, 24 DIO, Multifunction I/O Module (790595-01).

Description

PXIe-6357 | 208 AI (16-bit, 1.25 MS/s), 2 AO, 24 DIO, Multifunction I/O Module (790595-01)

The NI X series combines precise ±10 V analog inputs/outputs, flexible digital I/O and powerful counters/timers in a modular board family for PXI Express and PCI Express. Thanks to NI-DAQmx, you can use the same proven API and software tools (e.g. LabVIEW, FlexLogger, Python, C/C++) across all devices - for fast commissioning, stable measurements and easy scaling.

Available NI X-Series PXI & PCI models: PXIe-6357, PXIe-6353, PXIe-6351, PXIe-6343, PXIe-6323, PXIe-6321 and PCIe-6340, PCIe-6342, PCIe-6350, PCIe-6352, PCIe-6351.

Applications:

  • Capture voltage signals (±10 V) with high resolution and speed, e.g. for validation, research and production tests.
  • Conduct sensor and electronics tests: Stimulus/response measurements, modal/impact analysis, power and supply characterization.
  • Use digital tasks such as event/pulse counting, PWM generation, quadrature encoder acquisition, trigger and clock synchronization.
  • Generate and control signals: output analog waveforms, simulate sensors/signals or drive external relays/LEDs.

Model variant PXIe-6357:

The PXIe-6357 is the most powerful model within the X series and stands out from the other variants thanks to its simultaneous sampling architecture. While many X-series cards work with multiplexed inputs, the PXIe-6357 offers 4 simultaneous, 16-bit A/D channels that can sample at up to 1.25 MS/s per channel. This makes it particularly suitable for applications where simultaneous acquisition of multiple channels is required - for example in vibration analysis, motor control or transient-rich signals. In addition, it combines the advantages of the X series (comprehensive digital I/O, timer, synchronization) with this parallel acquisition and thus clearly distinguishes itself from the other models.

Most important technical data (depending on model):

  • Analog inputs (A/I): 8-104 channels (DI/SE), 16-bit resolution, measuring range ±10 V.
  • Max. Sampling rate (A/I): up to 1.25 MS/s per card with PXIe-6351/6353/6357; up to 1.25 MS/s (PCIe-6351); 500 kS/s (634x); 250 kS/s (632x).
  • Analog outputs (A/O): 0/2/4 channels depending on model, 16-bit; update rates up to 2.86 MS/s (e.g. 6351) or up to 900 kS/s for 632x/634x.
  • Digital I/O: 24 or 48 TTL/CMOS lines.
  • Counter/timer: 4 × 32-bit with 100 MHz time base; functions include PWM, quadrature encoder, trigger, clock forwarding.
  • Software ecosystem: NI-DAQmx; compatible with FlexLogger, LabVIEW/LabVIEW+ Suite and Python/C/C++.
  • Bus/format: PXI Express (PXIe) or PCI Express (PCIe).
