The PXIe-7915 features a Xilinx Kintex UltraScale FPGA that can be programmed with LabVIEW or Xilinx Vivado to add signal processing capabilities to PXI Express systems. Thanks to the 3rd generation PCI Express x8 architecture and peer-to-peer streaming, FlexRIO coprocessor modules for PXI can transfer data between other modules in a PXI chassis at up to 7 GB / s without a host controller. If the modules are used together with other PXI measuring devices such as a PXI vector signal transceiver, the functionality can be expanded so that e.g. B. complex algorithms can be executed in real time. The KU060-FPGA makes the PXIe-7915 particularly suitable for RF applications that require extensive signal processing.
