The PXIe-8399 can be used to control a PXI Express chassis from an external host; B. from a desktop PC, controller for rack mounting or separate master chassis. Using a 3rd generation PCI Express x16 connection, the PXIe-8399 enables data transfer of up to 16 GB / s between the chassis and the host via copper cables. An additional port allows a series connection for configurations consisting of several chassis.
