The PXIe ‑ 7971 provides flexible, customizable I / O for LabVIEW FPGA. The module has 132 single ‑ ended I / O lines that can be configured as 66 differential line pairs. The PXIe ‑ 7971 can be combined with FlexRIO adapter modules that have analog and digital high ‑ performance I / O. Both modules together result in a configurable measuring device that can be programmed with the LabVIEW FPGA software. The PXIe ‑ 7971 supports peer ‑ to ‑ peer data streaming, which allows data to be transferred between multiple FPGA or certain PXI ‑ Express modules without having to send the data to the host processor. This allows you to add FPGA capabilities to powerful NI digitizers with NIST-compliant calibration, or to transfer FPGA algorithms to multiple FPGAs in processing-intensive applications.
