The NI PXIe-5162 is a powerful, modular, high-speed oscilloscope designed for the precise acquisition, digitization, and analysis of fast electrical signals. With an analog bandwidth of up to 1.5 GHz, a maximum sampling rate of 5 GS/s, and a vertical resolution of 10 bits, the device is particularly well-suited for demanding measurement tasks in electronics development, research, and industrial test engineering.

Thanks to the PXI Express interface, the oscilloscope can be integrated into modular measurement and automation systems. Flexible settings for input coupling, impedance, voltage range, and signal filtering allow adaptation to various measurement requirements. Powerful trigger functions support the reliable capture of complex and short-duration signal events. The integrated acquisition memory enables the recording of extensive signal data.

The PXIe-5162 supports the synchronization of multiple measurement devices within a PXI system as well as peer-to-peer streaming for efficient data transfer. Using the NI driver software, measurement sequences can be automated and acquired signals can be further processed. This makes the module suitable for both standalone measurement tasks and complex, automated test systems.

Applications:

The NI PXIe-5162 is used primarily in the development, validation, and testing of electronic components and systems. Typical applications include the analysis of high-frequency signals, the investigation of fast switching processes, and the characterization of digital and analog circuits.
