780922-01 | NI 9870E, 4-port RS232 serial module, board only

The sbRIO ‑ 9870 module can be used to expand CompactRIO systems with serial RS ‑ 232 connections. The serial ports can be accessed directly from the FPGA, which provides flexibility when communicating with serial devices. The module has individual buffers at each connection, which save space on the FPGA and enable easier programming. The sbRIO ‑ 9870 supports standard settings for start bit, stop bit and handshaking. It uses an external power source for maximum compatibility and reliability. Modules without a housing are designed for OEM applications.
