The PCI-8517/2 module was designed for the development of FlexRay applications. As part of the NI XNET platform, the PXI-8517/2 board is particularly suitable for applications where hundreds of FlexRay frames and signals need to be manipulated in real time and at high speeds, such as hardware-in-the-loop simulations, rapid control prototyping, bus monitoring, automation control, and more. The board includes two fully functional FlexRay interfaces, which can be used to connect a single FlexRay controller to a single FlexRay device. The board includes two fully functional FlexRay interfaces that can be used to connect a single Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to the interface when other cold start nodes are not available. The interfaces can also be used to connect two separate FlexRay networks, with each interface maintaining full performance.
