The channels of the digital I / O module NI ‑ 9402 can be configured as inputs or outputs. With reconfigurable I / O technology (CompactRIO only), the LabVIEW FPGA Module can be used to program the NI-9402 module and implement custom high-speed counters / timers, digital communication protocols, pulse generation, and more. Each channel has transient isolation between the I / O channels and the backplane.
