The Keysight FieldFox D-Series represents the latest generation of professional handheld analyzers for field use and combines the highest measurement performance with state-of-the-art software-defined radio functionality. The devices cover frequency ranges up to 54 GHz and offer a real bandwidth of up to 120 MHz - ideal for 5G-FR1/FR2 tests, satellite communication, radar, EMC and EMF measurements as well as demanding spectrum analyses in military or industrial environments.
Thanks to the new Linux operating system, users benefit from increased system security, an optimized operating concept and improved remote control. The integrated SFP+ ports (10 GbE) enable ultra-fast, seamless streaming of IQ data - a decisive advantage for real-time analysis, interference management, TDoA/AoA location procedures or AI-supported signal evaluation.
Compared to the Keysight FieldFox C series, the D series sets new standards: It offers higher analysis bandwidths (up to 120 MHz), a modern touch display, high-speed SFP+ interfaces and a completely revised security and operating system concept. While the C series takes a software-defined approach, the D series is clearly geared towards high-frequency applications with advanced demodulation and streaming functions and thus meets the requirements of current 5G, satellite and radar networks far more comprehensively.
The N9918D model presented here is the most powerful device in the entire D series and covers the full frequency range from up to 54 GHz. This makes it ideal for the most demanding RF and microwave applications, including 5G FR2 testing, satellite communications, millimeter wave radar, EMI/EMF measurements, military EW applications and high-precision VNA characterization.
The N9918D offers the full performance of the D-Series with 120 MHz real-time bandwidth and 120 MHz gapless IQ streaming and significantly extends these capabilities with its high frequency range. It is ideal for applications requiring short pulses, high-density modulation formats or broadband millimeter-wave signals and supports all advanced software features such as OTA-5G analysis, noise figure measurements, phased array testing and direction finding methods.
