The PHU series from GW Instek has been developed to offer maximum flexibility, performance and depth of integration in DC test environments. Thanks to the SiC-based technology and an intelligent multi-range output, a wide range of voltage and current requirements can be covered with one device. The compact power supply units are suitable for use in the laboratory as well as for automated production and test systems.

General features of the series:

Multi-range output: One device for different voltage/current combinations - efficient and adaptable.
Advanced Web Server (AWS): Control via the browser without software installation - platform-independent.
Adaptive Parallel Connection (APC): Parallel connection of up to 10 devices for up to 150 kW total power.
Comprehensive interface integration: LAN, USB (type A/B), EtherCAT, CANopen, Modbus, Profinet, DeviceNet.
Advanced safety and operating functions: Bleeder switching, CV/CC priority, programmable slew rate, resistance simulation, panel lock.

The PHU 80-170-D model delivers an output power of 15 kW at up to 80 VDC voltage and a high output current of 170 A. This makes it particularly suitable for high-current applications in the low-voltage range. Typical applications are:

Testing of 48 V battery systems and DC power distribution systems with high current requirements
Testing and simulation of low-voltage drives and DCmotors
