The FI2-7000 FiberInspector Pro is designed to quickly inspect and certify fiber optic end-faces in connectors or patch cords. Faults in fiber optic cabling are mainly due to contaminated end faces. Dirt and debris can cause insertion loss and reflections that impede optical transmission and interfere with transceiver operation. In view of ever higher data rates, the inspection of the end faces is therefore a particular focus. Impurities can be eliminated in good time before the optical fibers are inserted into a chassis connector or device.
